No matter where you are – Luang Prabang, Pakbeng, Luang Namtha, Nong Khiaw, Oudom Xay Airport, or at a border crossing – Dien Bien Phu (Vietnam), Boten (China), Houessay/Bokéo (Thailand), we can arrange your transfer to our Lodge (private minibus).

FROM LUANG PRABANG

Meet at your hotel in the morning. 5-6 hours drive to our Lodge. A stop is possible at Pak Ou Caves (add 90 mins. for the visit). A picnic lunch prepared by one of the best restaurants in Luang Prabang can be supplied (optional with supplementary charge).

FROM PAKBENG

(where cruise boats on the Mekong stop)

Meet at your hotel in the morning. Around 4 hours drive to our Lodge (stops possible along the road which is used by different ethnic groups)

FROM OUDOMXAY

(daily flight from Vientiane – 50mins. flight)

Meet at Oudom Xay Airport. 40 min. drive to our Lodge.

FROM LUANG NAMTHA

Meet at your hotel. 3 hours drive along a beautiful mountain road.
Price per vehicle: $170 (maximum 4 people)

FROM A BORDER CROSSING (Laos side)

Border crossing at Dien Bien Phu (Vietnam): 3-4 hours drive.
Price per vehicle: $180 (maximum 4 people)

Border crossing at Boten (China): 4 hours drive.
Price per vehicle: $170 (maximum 4 people)

Border crossing at Houessay (Thailand): Around 6½ hours drive. Short stop for lunch in Luang Namtha (not included).

LEAVING US

Coming to Muang La

Don’t miss one of the most beautiful cruises in Laos and indeed, in SE Asia, on the River Nam Ou, a tributary of the Mékong:
An early morning departure by minibus to Muang Khua (2 hour drive) and board your private river boat to cruise to Nong Khiaw.
Your cruise passes through some breathtaking scenery and extraordinary limestone formations (5 hour cruise).
A picnic lunch on a beach near to the village of Ban Sopchaem, where the local people weave silk and other materials.
Land in Nong Khiaw in the late afternoon.

During the Vietnam War, the caves you can see in the rock formations, served as a refuge for the local people.

Transfer by road to Luang Prabang where you arrive in the early evening (around 19:00).
